Sometimes, moments just make you wonder if your subject saw you (and struck a pose), or they are just honestly this happy to have made it as far as they have. Judging by the rest of the images I captured of her round, she is just genuinely pleased, and so she should be! Over the last month or so, I have been working in secret to surprise a client. She has owned this guy since he was 4, and he is now in his mid 30's. So I got to do a little pampering, pony loving, and let him be in the limelight - for her. Meet Shabar.
Yesterday was finally a day to relax for my other half and I. We decided to take a walk around town and just, see.
He is starting to learn about photography, so I have lent him my old Canon 20D to play and grow with. It was a great experience for both of us, and I couldn't have imagined a better way to spend the day. THJA (Trillium Hunter Jumper Association) provided goodie bags this year to exhibitors at the 2014 Championships. Today, I set up shop in a horse trailer and photographed plaques, medals, ribbons, and some goodies.
I would like to share the lovely toques with you that came in the goodie bags. Thank you to my lovely assistant Megan for also being my lovely model....again! Happy Wednesday Everyone! Until Sunday, I will be at Caledon Pan Am Equestrian Park in Palgrave photographing behind the scenes for the 2014 Trillium Hunter Jumper Association Championships! This afternoon, I had the opportunity to watch and photograph a Judges Clinic conducted by Barbara Mitchell. The weather kindly cooperated with me, and began to pour just as I got back to the hotel. Sorry to all those who got wet, but Congratulations to the horses and riders who worked to get this far this year! Good Luck everyone! As I promised, a month or so ago, I would publish my series on the eye of a horse. "From Their View" is about what we see through the eyes of a horse, and what they show back to us. These trusting creatures have more to show us than it appears on the outside. Maybe looking in at what they see in us will help as we understand them more. There are currently three images ready in this grouping, but more will come as I continue to work with them. These images, and when the rest come, can be found under the "Equine" tab, in the Section "From Their View"
![]() Hey! I know it's been a long time, but I have been working steadily (which is great!) I wanted to let you know that I have a new page set going, for those of you who are interested! Its under "Equine" in the personals tab. From here, it is sorted by rider or date of showing. I will be increasing this as soon as the next show comes around! Hope you enjoy the small bit that is there! |
