A couple weeks ago, I got the chance to go outside and have some fun, with Miko!
He's a lovely little Black Lab, and is definitely his daddy's best friend!
They spent an hour or so play fetch in the park while I was chasing Miko around with my camera trying to get a shot of him in action, and these were taken in the minutes winding down, where he was finally tiring out.
It was a great workout and an awesome experience with Miko and his owner, and we are all really pleased with how it worked out!
As my last post explained, I participated in a gallery and portfolio display at Twist Gallery on the 11th.
And it was phenomenal!
I learned a great deal from the many people and photographers that came through, and the turn out was amazing!
You could hardly move around by the end of the night!
We couldn't have done it without the staff at Humber,
and we are all so thankful for all that they do!
I showed three images, which will be on display until the 26th.
This images are available to purchase.
Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if interested.
So tomorrow's the day...the big day!
My graduating class is having our portfolio display tomorrow night from 3:00 -9:30PM at Twist Gallery.
Twist is located at 1100 Queen St. West, downtown Toronto, and if you can make it, please do!
The event is open to EVERYONE!
We would all really appreciate you taking the time to come out, see our portfolios, and see our gallery images.
If you can't make it to the big day, our images will be up until April 26th, but our portfolios won't!
(there will also be a cash bar and hors d'oeuvres, if you needed any more convincing :) )
Hope to see you there!!
Sometimes, as a photographer, you have a go-to person when you need a model. For me, that would be Megan. We were really close friends throughout high school, so she knows how I work and what to expect. She's always willing and is always cheerful, so when I needed a model for an assignment, I thought of her.
I needed to create a model comp. card, which includes a head, head and shoulders, 3/4, and full length image in one by 8x10 section. There needed to be 4 outfit changes, and needed to best showcase who our model was.
This was the comp card I handed in, but there were two images that I couldn't use because they were the same outfit as my full length. I love these, and have included one into my portfolio alongside the full length.
Thanks so much again Megan!
Last week I got the chance to go downtown and shadow a photographer for the day. Teddy Melvin - http://www.teddymelvin.com - took me on and it was great! It was awesome to see how other photographers work, and what kind of client base different types of photography can have. He's a great guy, and I'd love to go back and work wih him again.
This was one of the images he took of me while we were working together.
